My home is on the coast in the Southern Archipelago of Funen in Denmark.
As an artist I have specialized in the ancient technique gyotaku - the art of fish printing.
In Denmark we are lucky to have four seasons - each with their own unique light. Our northern light is thus changeable. Winter tones of the monochrome paynes palette. Spring’s cold yellow of rapeseed against the cyan blue sky. Bright light of high summer days with a flickering sky over the deep blue sea. Finally, saturated harvest colors quietly close down the year.
Underwater light has its own atmosphere. The light is filtered and completely changes the scene. Distance and visibility gets another dimension, and you will experience space in another way than ashore. Along with the sounds of the water it's a magic place with its own stories and adventures.
